Here in the United States, we like to pronounce words a little differently. Words like aluminium versus aluminum or coupe versus coupé come to mind. But it seems the team at Porsche are finally fed up with people pronouncing their brand name incorrectly.

The German automaker took the time to upload a little explainer video just yesterday to its Youtube channel, dictating the correct pronunciation for its prestigious title.

Yes, that's two syllables, not one. Por-schuh. Thanks for clarifying.

The video's description reads:

"Have you ever wondered about the right way to pronounce Porsche? Or do you know someone who pronounces it in a wrong way? Be sure to let them know about this video."

While Porsche isn't outright saying it, we're pretty sure it's talking about us Americans. While we can spread the word as much as possible, we have a feeling most people will just fall back into old habits.
