Porsche SUV slams into e-scooter in Queens
A black Porsche SUV slammed into a stand-up electric scooter Wednesday in Queens — critically injuring the rider — and then roared away from the scene, police and sources said.
The victim was riding across 44th Drive in Long Island City around 6 p.m. when the luxury ride plowed into him at Vernon Blvd., sources said.
The scooter rider, who was not immediately identified, suffered severe head trauma in the crash, according to police. He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the Porsche took off southbound on Vernon Blvd. and was being sought Wednesday night, cops said.
