Port Clinton's Periat state champion in 100 backstroke, third best in 50 freestyle

Port Clinton's Kami Periat won the 100 backstroke in 54.32 seconds to earn a state championship in Division II.

Periat was third in the 50 freestyle at 23.54. She, Alexa Taylor, Shianne Lieske and Carlie Blaesing were third in the 200 freestyle relay at 1:38.65.

Periat, Taylor, Zoey Barr and Blaesing were seventh in the 400 freestyle relay at 3:38.31.

Oak Harbor's Karter Lajti Karson Lajti, Austin Sorg and Keegan Witt were fourth in the 200 medley relay at 1:37.26 for the boys.

Skyler Turner was fifth in the 100 breaststroke at 1:06.07 for the Rockets' girls. She, Paige Krupp, Marissa Mapes and Alyse Sorg were seventh in the 200 freestyle relay at 1:40.02.

Krupp, Sorg, Turner and Mapes were ninth in the 200 medley relay at 1:50.27.

Margaretta's Anna Gasser was third in the diving competition with 359.40 points.

Port Clinton's Brigitte Schroeder was sixth at 346.75.

Turner was fifth in the consolation final for the 200 IM at 2:11.31, 13th overall. Sorg was sixth in the consolation final in the 100 breaststroke at 1:07.71, 14th overall.

Krupp was eighth in the consolation final for the 100 backstroke at 59.78, 16th overall.

Karson Lajti, Nathan Buderer, Karter Lajti and Sorg were fourth in the consolation final in the 400 freestyle relay at 3:18.84, 12th overall. Sorg was first in the consolation final in the 100 butterfly at 51.74, ninth overall.
