Port Clinton's Periat takes pool record for sectional crown in backstroke and top seed

Port Clinton's Kami Periat and a boys 200 medley relay for host Oak Harbor established pool records Saturday at a Division II sectional.

Karter Lajti, Karson Lajti, Austin Sorg and Keegan Witt won the medley at 1 minute, 38.53 seconds. They are the top seed for district Friday at Bowling Green State University.

Periat won the 100 backstroke at 58.30. She's the top seed for district.

She won the 50 freestyle at 24.35 and is the two-seed. Periat, Alexa Taylor, Shianne Lieske and Carlie Blaesing won the 200 freestyle relay at 1:40.99 and are the top seed.

Periat, Taylor, Zoey Barr and Blaesing won the 400 freestyle relay at 3:43.63 and are the top seed. Blaesing won the 100 and 200 freestyles at 54.52 and 1:58.89, respectively.

She's the two-seed in the former and third in the latter.

Port Clinton's Madison Wiechman won the 500 freestyle at 5:39.25 and is the seven-seed. Taylor was second in the 100 butterfly at 1:04.95 and 200 IM at 2:21.17.

Taylor is the 10-seed in the former and sixth in the latter..

Katie Rodgers was second in the 200 freestyle at 2:07.88 and 500 freestyle at 5:43.23. She's the 14-seed in the former and 11 in the latter.

Oak Harbor's Skyler Turner won the 100 breaststroke at 1:08.28 and 200 IM at 2:17.45. She's the top seed in the former and second in the latter.

Paige Krupp, Alyse Sorg, Turner and Marissa Mapes won the 200 medley relay at 1:53.95 and are the top seed.

Sorg was second in the 100 freestyle at 54.97 and 100 breaststroke at 1:08.71. She's the three-seed in the former and second in the latter.

Krupp was second in the 100 backstroke at 1:03.27 and is the 10-seed. Turner, Krupp, Mapes and Sorg were second in the 200 freestyle relay at 1:42.88 and are the two-seed.

Margareta's Alayna Biehl was second in the 50 freestyle at 25.20 and is the seven-seed. She was fourth in the 100 freestyle at 56.90 and the nine-seed.

Dani Denman was fourth in the 100 butterfly at 1:07.65 and the 18-seed for the Polar Bears. Isabella Riedy, Savannah Suto, Kaydence Wright and Biehl were fourth in the 200 freestyle relay and the 13-seed.

Riedy, Kylee Aceto, Wright and Denman were second in the 400 freestyle relay and the 14-seed. Ali Garbe, Denman, Biehl and Wright were third in the 200 medley relay at 1:59.58 and the 11-seed for district.

Port Clinton's Emily Holcomb was third in the 100 backstroke (1:09.05), Barr fourth (1:09.99) and Nora Bodie fifth (1:10.29) in the 100 backstroke. They are seeded 21, 23 and 24.

Lieske was fourth in the 50 freestyle at 26.15 and is the 15-seed. Wiechman was fourth in the 200 freestyle at 2:12.58 and is the 25-seed.

Barr, Kaylie Simpson, Halle Puffenberger and Lieske were fourth in the 200 medley relay at 2:05.09 and are the 18-seed.

Oak Harbor's Chloe Shupe, Camryn Brown, Ava Grieger and Mapes were third in the 400 freestyle relay at 4:11.39 and are the 17-seed. Shupe was third in the 100 butterfly at 1:06.90 and is the 14-seed for district.

Shupe was fifth in the 200 IM at 2:30.05 and is the 16-seed. Grieger was fifth in the 200 freestyle at 2:15.38 and 500 freestyle at 6:11.74.

She's the 32-seed in the former and 31 in the latter.

Danbury's Canna Stephens was fourth in the 100 breaststroke at 1:14.97 and the 16-seed.

Port Clinton's Brigitte Schroeder is the fifth diver and Evelyn Zam 28.

Margaretta's Maddie Grimm dives 11, Aubree Camp 14 and Anna Gasser 31.

Oak Harbor's Abby Schiller dives 16.

Krupp is 19-seed in the 100 freestyle at 58.18, Mapes 27-seed in the 200 IM at 2:33.55 and Grieger 30-seed at 2:35.13.

Barr is 20-seed in the 100 freestyle at 58.45 and Simpson 30-seed at 59.87. Simpson is 31-seed in the 50 freestyle at 27.33 and Puffenberger 31-seed in the 100 butterfly at 1:11.61.

Garbe is 29-seed in the 100 backstroke at 1:11.07 and Denman 26 in the 200 IM at 2:33.06.

Woodmore's Emily Lang is 31-seed in the 100 backstroke at 1:11.17.

Division II boys

Clyde's Grayson Morgan won the 100 breaststroke at 1:03.26 and is the nine-seed for district. He was fifth in the 200 IM at 2:12.35 and the 16-seed.

Oak Harbor's Nathan Warnke, Nathan Buderer, Karson Lajti and Sorg won the 400 freestyle relay at 3:28.10 and are the top seed. Sorg won the 100 butterfly at 53.69 and is the three-seed.

Karter Lajti won the 200 IM at 2:04.81 and is the seven-seed. Sorg was second in the 50 freestyle at 22.83 and the seven-seed.

Buderer was second in the 200 freestyle at 1:56.77 and the nine-seed. Karter Lajti was second in the 100 backstroke at 55.67 and the five-seed.

Karson Lajti was second in the 100 breaststroke at 1:04.21 and the 11-seed. Warnke, Karter Lajti, Buderer and Witt were second in the 200 freestyle relay at 1:34.49 and the five-seed.

Warnke was third in the 200 freestyle at 1:57.49 and the 11-seed. Cody Pelz was third in the 100 butterfly at 57.97 and the 15-seed.

Witt was third in the 200 IM at 2:07.29 and the nine-seed. Warnke was fourth in the 100 freestyle at 53.13 and the 24-seed.

Buderer was fourth in the 500 freestyle at 5:21.98 and the nine-seed. Witt was fourth in the 100 breaststroke at 1:04.68 and the 16-seed.

Karson Lajti was fourth in the 200 IM at 2:07.80 and the 10-seed for district. Pelz was fifth in the 50 freestyle and the 30-seed.

Brennan O'Neill was fifth in the 200 freestyle at 2:00.36 and 500 freestyle at 5:24.83. He's the 22-seed in the former and 15 in the latter.

Port Clinton's Derek Barnhill was third in the 500 freestyle at 5:19.04 and the seven-seed. Andrew Patterson, Wyatt Siefke, Lee Higgins and Barnhill were fourth in the 400 freestyle relay at 3:44.39 and the 20-seed.

Higgins was fifth in the 100 backstroke at 1:04.22 and the 29-seed.

Margaretta's Troy Miller won the 100 freestyle at 51.10 and is the six-seed. Carson Miller was second at 52.41 and the 15-seed.

Ryan Coffman was fifth at 54.10 and the 32-seed. Troy Miller, Coffman, Lucan White and Carson Miller were third in the 200 freestyle relay at 1:34.83 and the six-seed.

Coffman, Eli Conner, Ben Burroughs and Troy Miller were third in the 400 freestyle relay at 3:38.91 and the 10-seed. White, Burroughs, Duncan Draper and Carson Miller were third in the 200 medley relay at 1:47.79 and the 12-seed.

Troy Miller was fourth in the 200 freestyle at 1:58.66 and the 14-seed. Draper was fifth in the 100 butterfly at 59.82 and the 23-seed.

Olen Barcus is the fourth diver and Kaine Smetzer 10th for Margaretta at district.

Oak Harbor's Spencer Heintz is 25-seed in the 500 freestyle at 5:34.44. He's 17-seed in the 200 IM at 2:12.36.

Burroughs is 19-seed in the 100 breaststroke at 1:05.04. He's 18 in the 200 IM at 2:12.92 and White is 31 in the 100 butterfly at 1:02.47.

Division I boys

Evan Beardmore won the 50 freestyle at 22.26 and 100 freestyle at 49.81 for host Fremont Ross. He's the four-seed in the former and six in the latter for district Saturday at BGSU.

Beardmore, Trent Harkness, Logan Weisenauer and Aidan Zimmerman were second in the 200 freestyle relay at 1:33.19 and the 10-seed. Zimmerman was third in the 200 freestyle at 1:50.90 and 500 freestyle at 5:03.25.

Beardmore, Harkness, Weisenauer and Zimmerman were third in the 200 medley relay at 1:43.63 and the nine-seed. Weisenauer was fourth in the 100 butterfly at 56.36 and the 10-seed.

Eliot Haitonic, Robert Rich, Parker Brown and Quentin O'Brien were fourth in the 400 freestyler relay at 3:35.31.

Bryceton Sabo is the seventh diver and Derek Haeusser 25th for the Little Giants at district.

Harkness is 18-seed in the 50 freestyle at 23.35 and Rich is 20 at 23.49. Rich is 19-seed in the 100 freestyle at 52.50.

Haitonic is 25-seed in the 200 freestyle at 1:56.19 and Jackson Kiddey 32 at 1:57.93. Haitonic is 14-seed in the 500 freestyle at 5:12.67 and Kiddey 27 at 5;23.35.

Harkness is 25-seed in the 100 breaststroke at 1:06.14. O'Brien is 24-seed in the 100 buttefly at 59.68.

Weisenauer is 20-seed in the 200 IM at 2:11.58 and O'Brien 24 at 2:13.77.

Division I girls

Kamryn Krieger, Sydney Weickert, Megan Evans and Channing Stevenson were second in the 200 freestyle relay at 1:42.08 and 200 medley relay at 1:54.29. They are the four-seed in both for district.

Stevenson was fifth in the 50 freestyle at 25.34 and 100 freestyle at 55.64. She's the 11-seed in the former and 10 in the latter.

Krieger is 15-seed in the 50 freestyle at 25.64 and 24 in the 100 freestyle at 57.06. Weickert is 21-seed in the 100 breaststroke at 1:14.43 and 31 in the 100 butterfly at 1:08.16.

Evans is 21-seed in the 100 butterfly at 1:04.36 and 18 in the 200 IM at 2:22.36. Aubrey Pfotenhauer, Virginia Dabrunz, Kenna Tooman and Alivia Weisenauer are the 20-seed in the 400 freestyle relay at 4:06.19.
