PORT ST. LUCIE — Port St. Lucie police officials have found the driver and vehicle involved in a Friday night fatal hit-and-run crash.
A white SUV hit a 54-year-old pedestrian in the eastbound lanes of Southwest Crosstown Parkway near Commerce Centre Drive, west of Interstate 95, about 10 p.m. Friday, officials said.
The driver didn’t stay at the scene, and officials began to look for an SUV with front-end damage. Police did not disclose the name, gender or hometown of the pedestrian.
Officials announced Sunday afternoon they had located the vehicle and its driver, but did not release any other information. More details will be released during the week, officials said.
