Portions of Roy Long Road, Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Athens closed today

Sep. 14—Roy Long Road near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Houston Street near the Houston Memorial Library in Athens will be closed today.

The portion of Roy Long Road will be closed for tree removal and Athens advises motorists to use Martin Luther King Jr. Drive as a detour.

The portion of Houston Street will be closed for street-cut repairs, but Athens said the crew will work around school traffic.
