Portsmouth to hold lottery for 2024 boat slips at Prescott Park

PORTSMOUTH — The city clerk's office will start accepting applications Monday, Dec. 4 for a lottery to assign 12 seasonal boat slips at Prescott Park for the 2024 season. The deadline to apply is Thursday, Jan. 4.

Each year, 12 boat slips in Prescott Park are made available for seasonal rental. Slips are awarded by lottery, first to Portsmouth residents. That lottery is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 5 at 9 a.m.

Any slips remaining after the Portsmouth residents drawing are awarded through a second lottery for non-residents.

Notifications are sent to all successful applicants after the lottery drawings.

In addition, to the seasonal slip rental, overnight and hourly rental dock space is available in Prescott Park during the April 2 to Nov. 1 boating season.
