Police are looking for a vehicle involved in a shooting at a car wash that injured a man Friday in Portsmouth.

Officials said the vehicle is a 2000 Kia Sorento.

The shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Portsmouth Boulevard and Columbus Avenue, near a car wash and detailing business.

Video of the shooting shows the SUV pulling into a lot before a man gets out of the vehicle, firing several gunshots. At least five men were in the line of fire — it is unclear who was the intended target.

The man ran into the street after initial shots were fired, discharged another gunshot, and got in the backseat of the SUV before it drove away.

Victoria Varnedoe, a police spokesperson, said one man was hit and his injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.

Police did not release information about a motive for the shooting, or a description of the suspect.

Anyone with information can call 757-393-8536 or 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
