DOVER — The Cochecho Arts Festival Children's Series presents UNH Theater's Little Red Wagon troupe, which will present "What's All the ComOCEAN," a show about conservation and ocean health at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 2 at the Rotary Arts Pavilion in Henry Law Park. Tuesdays on the Terrace

PORTSMOUTH — Tom Richter and The Sidewalk Boys will perform on Tuesday, July 26 in the Tuesdays on the Terrace series at Strawbery Banke in Portsmouth. Concert runs 5:30 to 7 p.m. Bring a picnic dinner or buy dinner and drinks at Strawbery Banke. Attendees can order a Picnic on the Banke in advance directly from the Puddle Dock Restaurant when purchasing tickets and pick up their order at check-in. Orders must be placed by 5 p.m. on the Sunday prior to each concert. Beverages, including beer and wine, are available during the concert. Alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto the property. Tickets are $5 and available online at strawberybanke.org.

Free Wildlife Encounters show in Somersworth

SOMERSWORTH - The Somersworth Festival Association is hosting a series of weekly free kids' performances each Wednesday through Aug. 10. The Wednesday, Aug. 3, there'll be a presentation by Wildlife Encounters. All shows are on Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Festival Pavilion (Somersworth High School football field). Bring your blankets and chairs. Food will be available for purchase. Shark in the Park series continues

DOVER — The Cochecho Arts Festival's series of Shark in the Park concerts presents the Key Elements Band on Wednesday, July 27 at 6 p.m. at the Rotary Arts Pavilion in Henry Law Park. The Shark in the Park Series will run Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. through Aug. 10. The concerts are free. Cochecho Arts Festival buttons will be available at all events for $10 to support the festival.

Hot Summer Nights series

SOUTH BERWICK — The Hot Summer Nights concert series takes place on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. at Central School on Main Street. On Wednesday, Aug. 3, O'Donnell, Klaxton & Clark will perform with Chris Klaxton on drums, Jimmy Clark on bass and Taylor O’Donnell on keyboards and vocals performing jazz standards to unique interpretations of popular rock, folk and pop favorites as well as O’Donnell’s original songs. Opening will be guitarist Grace Libby, who will be a junior at Berwick Academy.

PORTSMOUTH — On Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 7 p.m., singer-songwriter Sam Robbins, who grew up in Portsmouth, will return from Nashville to perform in the Prescott Park Arts Festival's summer concert series. He will be the opener for Caitlyn Smith. Bring a chair or blanket or reserve one from the festival for a fee, and enjoy an evening of music by the river. Suggested donation at the gate is $10. Twilight Tour returns in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH — For the first time since 2019, the Portsmouth Historic Sites Association will hold its popular Twilight Tour this year, on Friday, Aug. 5, from 4 to 8 p.m.  Hours are extended this year to allow time to visit the expanded roster of sites.  Come see what’s new at each organization—including new exhibitions, new displays, new acquisitions, and new research.

PORTSMOUTH — Portsmouth Submarine Memorial Association and Albacore Park Museum will host a First Friday Cooking Demonstrations with submariner and Mess Management Specialist Joe Afienko on Friday, Aug. 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. He'll be making bread pudding, a favorite of sub crews. There will be small samples and a discussion about eating and cooking on board a submarine.

History Paddle on the Salmon Falls River

ROLLINSFORD — Take a unique guided tour of the Salmon Falls River by canoe or kayak with the Association for Rollinsford Culture and History (ARCH) on Saturday, Aug. 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tour a portion of the river in Rollinsford, Somersworth and Berwick, and learn about sites related to Native American life, early European settlement, mills, town history and more, while enjoying the lovely scenery along the way.

Space in this event is limited to 15, and participants must supply their own watercraft and personal flotation device (PFD). To register or for more information, email paulwentworthhouse@gmail.com. Blueberries and Books fundraiser in Wakefield

WAKEFIELD – Blueberry season is in full swing and what better time than now to have a “Blueberries and Books” fundraiser?  The Friends of Wakefield libraries will hold a book sale and bake sale fundraiser to include all sorts of blueberry confections; jumbo muffins, pies, scones, any kind of blueberry item you can think of, on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., outside the Gafney Library.
