Possession, trafficking among Boyd indictments

Feb. 3—CATLETTSBURG — Boyd County grand juries issued a number of indictments over the last couple of weeks.

An indictment indicates a grand jury discovered sufficient probable cause to constitute official criminal charges. All of the following individuals below are innocent until proven guilty.

—Karl D. Burns, 26, of Detroit, was indicted on charges of first-degree burglary and fourth-degree assault after, according to court documents, entering a residence on Hoods Creek Pike in Westwood and causing physical injury to a person who was not participating in the crime. He is in Boyd County Detention Center on a $100,000 cash bond. He was also indicted on charges of first-degree heroin possession, license to be in possession, resisting arrest and failure to produce insurance.

—Ashley D. Ross, 40, of Ashland, was indicted on first-degree meth trafficking, drug paraphernalia-buy/possess and first-degree heroin possession. He is in Boyd County Jail on a $100,000 cash bond.

—Timothy P. Mulvaney, 36, of Catlettsburg, was indicted on charges of menacing, resisting arrest and first-degree meth trafficking. He is in jail on a $75,000 bond.

—Robert T. Blevins, 28, of Ashland, is in Boyd County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond after being indicted on first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree assault (domestic violence), resisting arrest, menacing and third-degree terroristic threatening.

—Jackie Boles, 47, of Catlettsburg, was indicted on charges of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), second-degree strangulation and tampering with a witness.

—Whitson M. Aydelott, 36, of an unknown address, was indicted on third-degree burglary and first-degree fentanyl possession charges.

—Kyle R. Cornett, 34, of Catlettsburg, was indicted on charges of theft of identity of another without consent and first-degree meth possession. He was also indicted on second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.

—Samantha Russ, 43, of Jackson, Ohio, was indicted on charges of theft by unlawful taking (between $1,000 and $10,000).

—Lauren A. Clester, 33, of Raceland, was indicted on a theft of mail matter charge.

—Arthur E. Prater, 59, of Ashland, was indicted on charges of first-degree, second-offense possession of meth, marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia-buy/possess.

—David H. Price, 50, of Ashland, was indicted on charges of first-degree drug possession and drug paraphernalia-buy/possess.

—Matthew G. Magee, 37, of Burlington, was indicted on a charge of second-degree persistent felony offender (two counts).

—Donavan P. Smith, of Louisville, was indicted on a fentanyl trafficking charge.

—Aaliyah N. Porter-Mahan, 20, of Louisville, was indicted on third-degree assault (EMS, Fire, Rescue) charges (two counts).

—Cathy Haycook, 43, of Ashland, was indicted on a charge of theft by failure to make required disposition of property ($10,000 or more).

—Michael Shane Carey, 51, of Tallahassee, Florida, was indicted on charges of public intoxication-controlled substance (excludes alcohol), first-degree meth possession and first-degree heroin possession.

—Misty Chidester, 39, of Ashland, was indicted on charges of first-degree, second-offense meth possession and marijuana possession.

—Donovan L. Ward, 47, of Middlesboro, was indicted on a first-degree, first-offense meth possession charge.

—Timothy Ray Young, 53, of Catlettsburg, was indicted on a charge of driving on a DUI-suspended license (third offense).

—Leonard L. Danner, 51, of Grayson, was indicted on a charge of first-degree meth possession (third or greater offense).

The following were indicted on flagrant non-support offenses: Jessica V. Anders, of Louisville; Phillip K. Artrip, of Ashland; David W. Love, of Ashland; Bessie Jo Daniels, of Flatwoods; Matthew J. Kitchen, of Catlettsburg; Hollie J. Hall, of Ashland; Phillip E. Newman, of Ashland; and Crystal D. Robertson, of Morehead.
