Post Malone concert tour includes show at Darien Lake

Post Malone is bringing his If Y’all Weren’t Here, I’d Be Crying Tour to Darien Lake Performing Arts Center, the rapper and singer announced Tuesday.
Tickets for the 8 p.m. show Monday, July 17, go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday at LiveNation.com. Presales start on the site at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Prices have not been announced.
It is the Syracuse native’s only New York concert on the tour, which kicks off July 8 in Noblesville, Indiana, and concludes Aug. 19 in San Bernardino, California.
Also on Tuesday, Malone announced that his fifth full-length album, titled “Austin,” in a nod to his real name, Austin Post, will be released July 28.
The first single, “Mourning,” is due out Friday.
The Darien Lake show will be Malone’s first in upstate New York since 2019, when he brought his Runaway Tour to Buffalo’s KeyBank Center.
He last played Darien Lake in 2018.
Born July 4, 1995, in Syracuse, Malone lived in Central New York until he was 10, when his family moved to Texas. He now is based in Salt Lake City, Utah, but his family still owns a home in Baldswinsville, according to Syracuse.com.
His father, Rich Post, grew up in Penfield and lived in Syracuse for 16 years after graduating from Syracuse University in 1988.
In July 2021, Malone attended a cousin’s wedding in Webster, photos of which made the rounds on social media.
