Post Scandoval drama, ‘Vanderpump Rules’ DJ James Kennedy is spotted in Miami Beach

“Vanderpump Rules” cast member James Kennedy took a break from all the Scandoval drama to spin some tunes at Strawberry Moon last weekend.

Kennedy performed for a packed pool deck at the Goodtime Hotel hot spot with a bunch of electric remixes, including (natch) his reality show’s viral theme song, “Raise Your Glass.”

Back to Scandoval: For those of you who actually have a life, it’s the Internet’s portmanteau for the mess that ‘Pumpers Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss made of basically everyone’s lives on this L.A.-based, somewhat incestuous hit show.

Back story: Sandoval, who was living with longtime girlfriend Ariana Madix, cheated on her with Kennedy’s ex fiancée/Madix’s bestie, Raquel Leviss. Their first rendezvous reportedly took place in a car, high school style. Sigh.

Sandoval and Madix subsequently split, drama ensued and sides were taken at the explosive Season 10 reunion earlier this month presided over by gossip-in-chief Andy Cohen.

But one of the people to emerge looking pretty rosy out of the three part televised dumpster fire was Kennedy, who quite articulately made mincemeat out of Sandoval, after the musician began to cry while apologizing for being unfaithful.

“Pull yourself together, man… you’re not at the Oscars!” the 31 year old Brit yelled across the stage at the embattled restaurant owner. “Be a man, mate. Pull yourself together. F---ing crocodile tears....You’re a worm with a mustache!”

Kennedy became a hero of sorts for all the scorned viewers out there. Even Time magazine gave him props in an article calling him the “No. 1 guy.”

“It’s no easy feat to capture attention during a season like this when a single storyline has dominated headlines,” reads the magazine’s story after the reunion aired. “His extreme transparency, biting wit, and lack of a filter have often gotten him in trouble in the past ... But now, in a season marked by deceit and darkness, his no-holds-barred commentary has been a welcome source of levity and humor.”

And Kennedy is in a good place. He told Bravo that he recently bought a home with his girlfriend, astrologist Abby Lewber, and their two cats. Their summer is filled with “hanging out at the pool, working out, meditating and good food.”

As for his stellar turn on the reunion, Kennedy takes it in stride and said he was just being himself.

“I think it’s just another good reminder to always stay true to yourself,” he told the cable TV network. “Even though you might be questioned by a bigger group, stay true to yourself.”
