Postal Service offering $50k reward for information in mail carrier robberies

The United States Postal Service is offering rewards for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects in a series of mail carrier robberies in Connecticut from 2021 and 2022.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering up to $50,000 for information on several mail carrier vehicle robberies and a further $10,000 for information on the theft of keys from the mail carriers.

The postal service reported six thefts in municipalities across the state from November of 2021 to December of 2022.

There were reported robberies of the vehicles in West Haven on Nov. 11, 2021, in Hartford on March 3, in Waterbury on Sept. 30, in Middletown on Nov. 1, in Greenwich on Nov. 10 and in Stamford on Dec. 7.

Anyone with information on the robberies is asked to contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 1-877-876-2455 and say “law enforcement.”
