Postponed due to cold: Downtown Worcester Winter Festival moved to Feb. 18

WORCESTER - With a big chill in the forecast for Saturday, organizers have rescheduled the Downtown Worcester Winter Festival to Feb. 18.

The two-hour event on Worcester Common will feature ice skating, ice sculptures, food trucks and activities. The festival gets underway at 1 p.m.

Meantime, the forecast calls for temperatures below zero Saturday, possibly as low as minus 8. With the wind chill factored in, the reading could drop to minus 30, according to the National Weather Service.
