Shelter-in-place lifted in Fitchburg after potentially armed suspect arrested

Police have lifted a shelter-in-place in Fitchburg after a potentially armed suspect was taken into custody.

Police said the situation at Coolidge Park was “resolved safely.”

Residents were asked to shelter-in-place due to a person who may be armed at the Townsend Street entrance to the park.
