Potter Co. girls, Ipswich boys win Battler Invitational cross-country crowns: Scoreboard
Potter County runners claimed three of the top four spots at the Battler Invitational in Gettysburg Saturday to win the girls team title.
Dannika Kaup finished second in 19:42.51; Jadyn Ahlemeier third in 19:46.84 and Emma Schlachter fourth in 19:53.68.
Autumn Fallis of Highmore-Harrold won the girls 5K, clocking in at 19:05.72.
In the 5K boys race, Nicholas Schlachter of Potter County crossed the finish line first in 16:51.80. But Ipswich claimed the team title with runners placing third, fourth and fifth. Dylan Wald was third in 17:23.19, Xavier Kadlec fourth in 17:28.29 and Turner Thorson fifth in 17:36.45.

Aberdeen Central placed sixth and Roncalli placed 17 out of 18 teams. The top Aberdeen Central finisher in the 5K race was Rylan Johnson, who placed 27th in a time of 17:33.61. The top Roncalli finisher was Paul Gutenkauf, who placed 86th in a time of 19:41.64.
Girls
Aberdeen Central placed eighth out of 13 teams, Roncalli did not field a complete team.
The top Aberdeen Central finisher in the 5K race was Juna Ramey, who placed 29th in a time of 20:53.22. The top Roncalli finisher was Addison Cassady, who placed 67th in a time of 22:23.47.
