Pottery Barn Is Launching a Friends -Inspired Furniture Line

Central Perk mugs are just the start

Although the last episode of Friends aired more than a decade ago, it seems the interior decor world can’t get enough of the beloved NBC sitcom lately. IKEA recently recreated the famous living room from the show, and fans now have another reason to get excited: Pottery Barn is releasing a line of furniture inspired by the series.

In honor of the 25th anniversary of the 1994 premiere of Friends, the company is debuting a collection of accessories, furniture, and tabletop items that would have been used by Joey (Matt LeBlanc), Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Chandler (Matthew Perry), Monica (Courteney Cox), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), and Ross (David Schwimmer). What does that entail? Well, along with mugs from the characters' favorite coffee shop, Central Perk, there will be a replica of Rachel’s famous apothecary table.

The table is so legendary that an entire episode was named after it during season six of the 10-season show. The plot of “The One With the Apothecary Table" involves Rachel buying an apothecary table from Pottery Barn. She then finds out how much Phoebe despises Pottery Barn, so she lies about where she got it, saying it’s an antique from the “days of yore.” Things get hilariously complicated from there.

If you want one for yourself, the collection will reportedly be available starting July 30. Exact pricing details have yet to be released.

It's not just the interior design world that continues to be hungry for Friends-inspired nostalgia. The show has found renewed popularity through streaming services like Netflix (though come 2020, it will no longer be available on the platform), and earlier this year, Courteney Cox created a social media storm when she visited the New York City façade of her character’s apartment building.
