Poultry producer Case Farms hits safety milestone at Winesburg plant

Case Farms, a poultry farming and processing group, hit a safety milestone on Sept. 21 when its Winesburg processing facility reached 1 million hours without experiencing an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable lost-time accident.

That means there have been no accidents that shut down production lines or caused any missed time from work, according to Brad Hobbs of Case Farms.

"Achieving this goal is no simple task and, involves every team member working together to promote a safe workplace. This is a proof point of our commitment to safety,” Jeffrey Shanabarger, regional safety manager, Ohio Division, said in a new release. "At Case Farms, our goal is to be the safest poultry company."

It is the second time this year a Case Farms facility has reached the milestone.
