Power Book IV: Force season 2 has teased a huge fallout, following a pivotal death.

The latest episode saw Vic's meeting with Edgar Vargas interrupted by Tommy, leading to Vic killing the special agent to hide the fact that he's ratting Tommy out.

The ramifications look to be huge for both Tommy and Vic, as teased in a promo for episode 8, titled 'Dead Reckoning'.

Tommy now knows the FBI is onto him, though he's led to believe by Vic that Jenard and Claudia are the ones who tipped the agents off.

Meanwhile, as a result of Vargas' death, Vic faces immense pressure from Stacy Marks to help the authorities lock up Tommy.

"Unless you implicate Tommy Egan, you're going to prison," she warns.

Stacy is also seen meeting up with Tommy, warning him that he could be next on Miguel's list if Miguel finds out about Tommy's secret relationship with his younger sister Mireya.

Elsewhere, Claudia suggests to a person off-camera that they should get the Serbs on their side. It seems another deadly showdown may be on the cards...

The bodies are piling up in this season of the Power spinoff. It wasn't long ago when Walter Flynn met his end, alongside fan-favourite character Uncle Paulie.

Supervising producer Lisa Demaine previously teased that episode 9, which airs a week later, will be "epic" — so this Friday's episode may be setting up something huge.

"I can tell you that [episode 9] is also epic and big and sweeping," she told Variety last month. "The Stacy Marks task force is growing, and her reach is reaching out and seeping in. People die. The drug-dealing world is dangerous and dirty, and 209 is big in a different way.

"There's a lot of story from now to the end."

Power Book IV: Force airs on Starz in the US and streams on Lionsgate+ in the UK.
