PORT ST. LUCIE — No one was injured as firefighters doused a shed fire that threatened nearby homes in a Port St. Lucie neighborhood Friday, according to the St. Lucie County Fire District.
About 4:40 p.m., firefighters went to the 400 block of Southeast Karney Terrace, north of Crosstown Parkway and east of Southeast Sandia Drive. The Fire District evacuated a few homes near the shed and shut off power briefly to the neighborhood as a precaution. Photos of the shed showed a few power lines nearby the burning structure.
The cause of the fire was not available.
