Power outage in New Orleans leads to Krewe of Bacchus delay

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A power outage in New Orleans caused the Krewe of Bacchus to be delayed on Sunday, Feb. 11.

In a social media post, Entergy New Orleans officials said they are aware of an outage in the area and “initial reports indicate this disruption resulted when a float shot some paper streamers onto a transformer.”

Entergy officials said the outage impacted about 40 customers.

According to NOLA Ready, the repair was completed around 6:05 p.m.

Bacchus leaders announced early Sunday that the Krewe had moved its start time up in anticipation of rainy weather.
