Power outage pushes local college online

PEPPER PIKE, Ohio (WJW) – A local college has announced all classes on Thursday will be held virtually due to a power outage.

Ursuline College announced the schedule change on social media at about 7 a.m. on Thursday.

It’s not clear what caused that power outage.

Meanwhile, Solon City Schools, located about 8 miles south of the college, also closed due to a power outage.

The district reported the outage was caused by a transformer blowing on State Route 91.

It’s not clear if the outages were related.
