Power outages affecting portions of Central Pennsylvania

(WHTM) — Due to the windy weather, some parts of the Midstate are experiencing power outages.

According to the PPL Outage Map, over 1,000 people were without power in portions of Carlisle, Cumberland County during the afternoon hours. PPL stated that crews have been sent to the scene to make the required repairs.

There are also sporadic outages in Harrisburg. As of 1:20 p.m., nearly 3,100 people are without power in the city and over 1,000 people are without power just east of Lykens.

A maximum wind gust of 48 miles per hour was recorded at Harrisburg International Airport around 2 p.m. on Sunday.

You can see what the PPL Outage Map looked like at around 11:05 p.m. Sunday in the Midstate below. Over 4,000 people are without power in the area, with most of the outages being in Dauphin, Cumberland, and Lancaster counties.

Around 84 people in York County are without power.
