Power Outages in Oklahoma After Heavy Snowfall

Some Oklahomans started off their new year with power outages after freezing rain and snow fell overnight into January 1.

Over 19,000 customers were without power on Friday, OG&E said.

This clip, posted by Mike Guadagno on Facebook, shows a snow-covered scene in Yukon, where local news said 8.5 inches of snow fell.

“This is why I live in California and only visit Oklahoma. It sure is purdy but wouldn’t want to live here,” Guadagno wrote on Facebook. Credit: Mike Guadagno via Storyful
