The Times-Union highlights the top teams across high school boys basketball for teams in Jacksonville and Northeast Florida through Dec. 10 in the 2022-23 FHSAA season.

BOYS BASKETBALL

  1. Providence7-0, Class 3APrevious: 1.Last week: Won 87-35 vs. Mandarin, won 58-53 vs. Oakleaf, won 59-40 vs. Nease.This week: Saturday vs. The Villages Charter.Glance: The big three of Chris Arias, Mason Lee and Jaylen Robinson all came up big at Fortegra Invitational.

  2. NFEI6-1, Class 2APrevious: 2.Last week: Won 62-60 at DME Academy, won 70-59 vs. Quality Education Academy.This week: Friday at Florida High.Glance: Eagles won thriller against DME at Beach & Ball Classic.

  2. Oakleaf8-1, Class 6APrevious: 2.Last week: Won 60-54 vs. San Jose Prep.This week: Tuesday at Englewood, Thursday vs. Columbia, Friday at Ponte Vedra.Glance: Defensive ace Kaylah Turner is also averaging 21 points per game this season.
