The Times-Union highlights the top teams across high school boys basketball for teams in Jacksonville and Northeast Florida through Feb. 4 in the 2022-23 FHSAA season.

1. Providence

23-2, Class 3A

Previous: 1.

Quality wins: Episcopal, IMG Academy Blue (2), Impact Christian, Nease (2), NFEI, Oakleaf, Orange Park, Ponte Vedra, Riverside, Shady Spring, St. Petersburg.

Last week: Won 69-43 vs. NFEI, lost 79-72 vs. Barron Collier.

This week: District 3-3A tournament.

Glance: Stallions incurred only their second loss of the season Saturday against Barron Collier.

Girls basketball districts: Providence, Mandarin, Oakleaf, Bishop Kenny among winners

2. Oakleaf

Last week: Won 64-37 vs. Atlantic Coast, won 67-38 at Ridgeview.

This week: District 3-6A tournament.

Glance: Center Cameron Coachman has topped the 100-block mark while helping Knights to the school's best-ever record.

3. Episcopal

20-5, Class 3A

Previous: 4.

Quality wins: Bishop Kenny, North Broward Prep, Tallahassee Maclay, Williston.

Last week: Won 59-45 at Trinity Christian, won 63-40 vs. Bolles.

This week: District 3-3A tournament.

Glance: Junior Kent Jackson averaged 21.5 points this week to stretch the Eagles' winning streak to 10 games.

4. Ponte Vedra

18-5, Class 6A

Previous: 5.

Quality wins: Bishop Kenny, King's Ridge Christian, Nease (2), Paxon, Ribault, St. Joseph.

Last week: Won 42-32 vs. Nease.

This week: District 3-6A tournament.

Glance: Israel Nuhu capped a superb regular season with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals against rival Nease.

5. Ribault

20-4, Class 4A

Previous: 5.

Quality wins: Impact Christian, Jackson (2), Orange Park, Riverside.

Last week: Won 75-38 at Parker, won 86-61 at Spruce Creek.

This week: District 3-4A tournament.

Glance: The Trojans are in high-scoring mode entering this week's district tournament.

On the bubble: Bishop Kenny (18-7, 4A), Columbia (16-9, 5A), Impact Christian (16-8, 2A), Jackson (13-11, 4A), Nease (17-7, 6A), NFEI (16-8, 2A), Orange Park (17-8, 6A), Paxon (17-5, 4A), Riverside (11-11, 5A), St. Joseph (18-5, 2A)
