Powerball jackpot to approach $500M after no one matches Wednesday night's drawing

No ticket matched all the numbers in the Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, meaning the new year will begin Saturday with a chance at a jackpot approaching $500 million.

Wednesday's Powerball numbers were 2-6-9-33-39, with the Powerball 11 and Power Play 2.

The Powerball website estimates Saturday's jackpot will be $483 million, with a cash payout of $347.7 million.

The Powerball jackpot winner was last drawn on Oct. 4.
