Powerball winning numbers for Nov. 13 drawing

UPDATE: The winning numbers for Monday night's drawing were 24, 33, 35, 37 and 42. The Powerball was 21, and the Power Play was 2X.

.....

ORIGINAL STORY: The Powerball jackpot continues to rise with an estimated jackpot of $235 million after no winner emerged after Saturday's drawing. If someone matches all six balls in Monday night's drawing, the winner would take home the grand prize, which currently has a cash option of $107.9 million.

Saturday's winning numbers were 1, 12, 14, 24, 57 and the red Powerball was 7 .

Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. EST. Drawings can be viewed live at powerball.com/watch-drawing. The Powerball jackpot was last hit in the Oct. 11, 2023 drawing, when a ticket in California matched all five white balls and the red Powerball to win a grand prize worth $1.765 billion, which was the second-largest prize in Powerball history.

There's no significant way of improving your 1 in 292.2 million odds of winning the jackpot – unless you have millions of dollars to gamble. Still, these charts below have, at times, highlighted a winning number or two that helped players cut their odds just a bit.

How long has it been since each Powerball number won?

Every ball has rolled out in the 150-plus drawings during the past 12 months, but a handful haven't come up in months, such as Nos. 5, 49 and 56. For the Powerball, Nos. 15 and 17 still look good.

The most frequently drawn Powerball numbers

These two charts show the dozens of draws during the last couple of years and give you a sense of which numbers have hit at above- or below-average rates.

Least likely number: No. 24 has been picked two dozen times or more. That's well above the average of 15 times in 207 games. Also, No. 24 rolled out Oct. 21 and 28, and Nov. 11.

Most likely numbers: Nos. 5, and 29 have only hit seven times in the game's recent history, and No. 5 hasn't rolled out since July.

How often AND how recently have Powerball balls rolled out

After combining the two charts, white Nos. 5 and 56 and the Powerballs 15 and 17 appear to be even better candidates to roll out of the machines in the coming weeks.

Beware of the back-to-back Powerball winners

With 69 white balls in the hopper, it seems like you can usually count out the five winning balls from the previous drawing. In general, that's a good place to start in narrowing down the multitude of possibilities. But, based on the results of the last two years, white balls show up in back-to-back drawings more often than you might expect.

How to play Powerball

Choose five numbers 1 to 69 and one number 1 to 26 to be your Powerball. To win the Powerball jackpot, match the six numbers on your ticket to the drawn six-number combination (five numbers plus the Powerball).

The odds of winning the jackpot prize are 1 in 292.2 million.
