Powerball lottery jackpot hits $454M: What to know from winning numbers to drawing times

The time has come to gather your lucky items and test you luck as the Powerball lottery jackpot continues to grow.

The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday, April 27 rose to an estimated $454 million with a cash option of $271.9 million, according to powerball.com.

Wondering what the largest winning Powerball jackpot ever is?

Three winners claimed a stake in what still stands as the nation's largest lottery jackpot, with winning tickets sold in three states (California, Florida and Tennessee) on Jan. 13, 2016. The jackpot was $1.586 billion.

Powerball winning numbers, results

No one won the Powerball on Monday, April 25. The winning numbers are 12, 18, 20, 39, and 61, and the Powerball is 10. The Power Play was 2X.

No one matched all six numbers to win the Powerball jackpot, but one ticket purchased in Texas matched all five numbers except for the Powerball worth $1 million.

A ticket bought in North Carolina matched all five numbers except for the Powerball and included the Power Play worth $2 million.

Powerball Double Play numbers

The Double Play numbers are 14, 23, 29, 38, 43, and the Powerball is 20.

No tickets matched all six numbers, and no one matched all five numbers except for the Powerball worth $500,000.

Powerball draws occur three times a week, on every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

How much a Powerball ticket costs

Powerball tickets are $2 apiece. Tack on the Power Play for $1 and your non-jackpot winnings could be multiplied up to five times. Players can multiply non-jackpot wins up to 10 times when the jackpot is $150 million or less.

What is Powerball's Double Play?

For an extra $1, you can enter your numbers into a second drawing held after the main jackpot draw. Participants can win prizes ranging from $7 to $10 million.

Approximately 1 in every 24.87 Powerball tickets sold are winners. The likelihood of winning the jackpot is 1 in 292,201,338.
