Did anyone win Powerball on Saturday?

There was no big winner in Saturday night's Powerball drawing.

That means the jackpot for Monday night's drawing jumps to $1.55 billion, with a cash value of $679.8 million.

The prize ranks as the game’s largest jackpot this year and the third-largest jackpot in the history of the game, according to the Powerball website. The second largest jackpot was $1.586 billion on Jan. 13, 2016, and the largest was the $2.040 billion won on Nov. 7, 2022.

No one has won Powerball since July 19, when a ticket in California won the lottery's $1.08 billion jackpot. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.

Although there were no jackpot winners, there were two Match 5 + Powerplay $2 million tickets sold, one in Iowa and one in Maine. There were 10 winning Match 5 $1 million tickets in Saturday's drawing. Two were sold in Massachusetts and two in Texas. The rest were sold in California, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.

Other big wins from Wednesday night include 55 tickets that won $50,000 prizes and nine tickets that won $100,000 prizes.

Winning numbers for the Saturday, Oct. 7, jackpot were: 47, 54, 57, 60 and 65. The red Powerball was 19 and the Power Play was 3X.

The next Powerball drawing is at 10:59 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9.

When is the Powerball drawing?

Drawings are held three times a week, every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET.

The winning numbers in the Wednesday, Oct. 4, Powerball drawing were 9, 35, 54, 63, and 64. The red Powerball was 1, and the Power Play was 2X.

Where can I buy Powerball tickets?

The Powerball is played in 45 states including Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, and in Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. You do not have to be a U.S. citizen or U.S. resident to play the Powerball.

In Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, you can purchase tickets at gas stations, convenience stores and supermarkets. Sales cut-off times vary by one to two hours before the drawing, depending on the selling jurisdiction.

How do you play Powerball?

The Powerball costs $2 per play.

To play, select five numbers from one to 69 for the white balls, then select one number from one to 26 for the red Powerball.

You can choose your lucky numbers on a play slip or let the lottery terminal randomly pick your numbers.

To win, match one of the 9 Ways to Win:

  • 5 white balls + 1 red Powerball = Grand prize

  • 5 white balls = $1 million

  • 4 white balls = 1 red Powerball = $50,000

  • 4 white balls = $100

  • 3 white balls + 1 red Powerball = $100

  • 3 white balls = $7

  • 2 white balls + 1 red Powerball = $7

  • 1 white ball + 1 red Powerball = $4

  • 1 red Powerball = $4

There's a chance to have your winnings increased two, three, four, five and 10 times through the Power Play for an additional $1 per play. Players can multiply non-jackpot wins up to 10 times when the jackpot is $150 million or less.

All prizes are set cash amounts, except for the Grand Prize. In California, prize payout amounts are pari-mutuel, meaning it's determined by the sales and the number of winners.
