Some lucky lottery player bought a Powerball ticket at the Sheetz at 20723 National Pike — the one at the corner of Mapleville Road.

That ticket is worth $50,000, and as of Wednesday afternoon, no one had come forward to claim it, according to the Maryland Lottery.

The winning numbers for the local winning ticket, which was for the May 9 drawing, are: 18, 30, 35, 52, and 56 with 5 for the Powerball. The Power Play multiplier was 2, according to a Maryland Lottery news release.

No one hit the major prize in that Powerball drawing.

The May 9 drawing resulted in 6,970 winners with prizes ranging from $4 to $50,000, according to the lottery release.

The Wednesday night drawing has an estimated jackpot of $68 million, according to Powerball.com.

Maryland Lottery officials encourage winners to immediately sign the back of their tickets and keep them in a safe place. They have 182 days from the time of the drawing to claim their prize.

Prizes of more than $25,000 must be redeemed by mail or at the lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore, the release states.
