Powerful Winds Blow Crashing Waves in Coastal Maine

A storm brought flooding to the coastal region of southern Maine, during high tide on Friday, December 23, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported.

Video posted by Colleen Mars on Friday shows powerful waves crashing into Cumberland County lighthouses in South Portland and Cape Elizabeth.

Officials closed damaged and flooded roadways in the area.
