Powerful Winds and Flooded Streets in Matagorda, as Nicholas Nears Texas Coastline

Tropical Storm Nicholas brought “heavy rains, strong winds, and storm surges” to central and northern parts of the Texan coastline on Monday, September 13, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Footage posted to Twitter by Andrew Dubya shows powerful winds, flooded streets, and rough surf conditions near the tourist town of Matagorda.
