Powerhouse Portsmouth Pop Warner football team looks to punch its ticket to Disney World

The Portsmouth Pop Warner under-14 team has its sights set on reaching the national stage when it takes on Revere, Massachusetts, at home on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

The winner of that semifinal game advances to the New England championship, with the next stop being a trip to nationals at Disney World next month in Orlando, Florida.

Portsmouth won its third consecutive Rhode Island Southeastern Massachusetts conference championship two weeks ago when it beat Old Rochester. The losses the team has suffered in the past three seasons have come against regional competition.

Members of the team, many of whom have been playing together since they were 5 or 6 years old, are Adam Conheeny, Liam Daly, Drew Dischert, Cashman Downes, John Ellsworth, Levi Grigson, Jackson Hackley, Stephan Harvey, Orion Haverington Silvia, Aidan Maisen, Hunter Millan, Miles Millan, Darious Myers, Logan Peters, Wyatt Reilly, Dean Russolino, Jack Sanderson, Joseph Sanderson, Jakeem Stedford, Parker Watson, Victor Waycuilis and Brady Williams.

The coaches are Troy Watson, Rich Brandariz, Matt Colna, Justin Hackley, Brandon Millan, Randall Williams and Lawrence Russolino. The team mom is Keri Brandariz.
