4 men overdose upon arrival at Azalea Cocktail Lounge. Police seeks answers.

Four people were transported to the hospital Tuesday night after reportedly overdosing at Azalea Cocktail Lounge.

Pensacola Police Department spokesperson Mike Wood told the News Journal that officers responded to Azalea Cocktail Lounge after receiving reports of individuals overdosing. It is not known where or when the drugs were ingested.

Escambia County Public Information Officer for Public Safety Davis Wood confirmed to the News Journal that four individuals were transported to the hospital.

In a statement posted to Facebook, the Azalea said they were "deeply saddened" regarding the incident.

"Four individuals arrived, two collapsed before entering, while the other two collapsed upon entering," the statement says. "The quick actions of our employees, patrons and first responders likely saved the lives of these individuals."

At least one person needed CPR, according to Mike Wood, and the PPD investigations unit is "aware and looking into the incident."

The current health status of the four individuals is unknown.

This is a developing story.
