Security cameras only captured images of three suspected vandals, but there could be more suspects, Wood said.

Winterfest is an annual Christmas-themed event during which attendees can take photos with Santa and the Grinch and go on the Polar Express, Grinch, Cajun Christmas and Scrooge tours.

It began Nov. 19 and runs through Dec. 24, with many of the events concentrated around the old county courthouse at the corner of Palafox and Government streets.

Wood said the suspects were seen vandalizing decorations in and around the county’s parking garage near the old courthouse.

Anyone with information about the suspects has been asked to contact law enforcement by calling Crime Stoppers at 850-433-7867 or the PPD at 850-435-1900 or by using the P3 App on a smartphone.
