Practice, training for youth sports now allowed in Californai

The State of California released guidelines for youth sports and community-sponsored programs, which include private clubs and leagues. According to youth sports advocates, the new guidelines are the first substantive guidance from state officials since the pandemic started. With the guidelines that were released Monday, outdoor, physically distanced practices, skill-building and training can continue for many different types of sports and activities with modifications in mind to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19. This applies to all counties. The types of sports permitted depend on the county's tier. For example, football and soccer are only allowed once a county reaches the orange tier, or moderate tier. However, people in any county can now practice, train and condition regardless of any regional stay-at-home orders.
