Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov may attend the 30th Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Skopje, North Macedonia, from Nov.30 – Dec. 1, Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg admitted in an interview with  Austrian newspaper Die Presse on Nov. 18.

He called Lavrov's invitation to the annual meeting in Skopje "correct" and said he was ready to hold talks with him, because it is not possible to conduct foreign policy "by talking only with Switzerland and Liechtenstein.”

The Ministerial Council is the central decision-making and governing body of the OSCE, which has 57 participating States.
