Precious Achiuwa could be a double-double machine

Jared Johnson's message to fantasy managers is clear in the wake of Pascal Siakam's injury: Do not let Precious Achiuwa float around on your league's waiver wire.

- With news breaking on Sunday morning that Pascal Siakam will be re-evaluated in two weeks after being diagnosed with a right adductor strain, Precious Achiuwa is a guy who will be flying off the waiver wire this weekend and for good reason. To be clear on Siakam, re-evaluated does not mean will return, and he does have a history with groin issues, so the Raptors could be extra cautious bringing him back.

When he injured his groin during the 2019-20 season, he missed nearly an entire month of action, so don't be surprised if his absence extends well beyond that two week window. Enter Precious Achiuwa. In the two games this season were Precious has cleared 30 minutes he's put in averages of 14 points, 16.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and one triple per contest, so he could be a double-double machine moving forward. He may not start, as Nick Nurse likes to keep his first and second units together, but there's an excellent chance he'll be closing games and flirting with minutes in the mid-thirties. Make sure Precious Achiuwa isn't floating around on your waiver wire and congrats if you nabbed him.
