2019 MTV Movie and TV Awards - Arrivals – Santa Monica, California, U.S

The Nashville Predators traded defenseman P.K. Subban to the New Jersey Devils on Saturday for two players and two draft picks.

The Predators will receive defensemen Steven Santini and Jeremy Davies plus a second-round pick in Saturday's draft (No. 34 overall) and a second-rounder in 2020.

A three-time NHL All-Star and former Norris Trophy winner, Subban tallied nine goals and 22 assists in 63 games during his third season with Nashville in 2018-19.

Subban, 30, has registered 408 points (98 goals, 310 assists) in 645 career NHL games with the Montreal Canadiens (2009-16) and Predators.

Subban has three years remaining on an eight-year, $72 million contract he signed in 2014. The Devils reportedly are absorbing the remainder of the deal, freeing up $9 million in cap space for the Predators for 2019-20, according to Sportsnet.

Santini, 24, had one goal and three assists in 39 games with New Jersey in 2018-19. The Devils' 2013 second-round pick has 21 points in 114 career games.

Davies, 22, was a seventh-round pick in 2016 and signed a two-year, entry-level deal with New Jersey in April after finishing his collegiate career at Northeastern.
