Each week during the high school football season I'm inviting a guest to join me in predicting the winner of each West Sound game, as well as the Seahawks, UW and WSU.

For Week 7, our guest picker is Bremerton native and Olympic swimming medalist Tara Kirk Sell.

In Week 6, I went 6-3, while former North Kitsap football standout Colton Bower finished 7-2. We both missed on the Huskies, who struggled on the road for the second consecutive week in a loss to Arizona State. We were both wrong siding with the Seahawks, who dropped a shootout in New Orleans. Bower correctly picked Bellarmine Prep knocking off South Kitsap, which I missed.

Football Roundup: Olympic League's best pick up Week 6 wins

For the season, I'm 44-12 in the picks department, while guests are a combined 40-16. Here's a look at what's coming up this week.

Thursday

Central Kitsap (0-6, 0-4 in South Sound Conference 3A) at River Ridge (0-5, 0-4), 6:30 p.m.: The good news is one of these teams is going to pick up their first win of the season. This could end up being the closest game of the week. Jeff: Central Kitsap; Tara: River Ridge

Friday

Bellevue Christian (2-3, 0-1 in Nisqually League 1A) at Klahowya (1-4, 1-1), 6:30 p.m.: Both teams played brutal schedules in the first half of the season and their records reflect that. The Eagles, who were off last week, lost senior Logan Wallis to injury two weeks ago against Vashon Island. He's one of the top two-way players in West Sound. Jeff: Bellevue Christian; Tara: Bellevue Christian

Olympic (5-1, 4-0 in Olympic League 2A) at Kingston (2-4, 1-3), 6:30 p.m.: Kingston lost 49-6 against North Kitsap last week and its schedule doesn't get any easier with the Trojans coming to town. Olympic senior quarterback Justin Kelley threw for 336 yards and a pair of scores in last week's 35-21 win at Sequim. Jeff: Olympic; Tara: Olympic

Port Angeles (1-5, 0-4 in Olympic League 2A) at Bainbridge (2-4, 2-2), 6:30 p.m.: Port Angeles plays tough against the run, but the Spartans' strength is their passing attack and Bainbridge is coming off a 42-7 home win against North Mason. Jeff: Bainbridge; Tara: Bainbridge

Sequim (2-4, 2-2 in Olympic League 2A) at North Mason (0-6, 0-4), 6:30 p.m.: The Bulldogs will honor the school's 1982 state championship football team, which defeated Woodland to claim the Class-A title under former coach Phil Pugh. Can this year's squad rise to the occasion and pick up its first win? Jeff: Sequim; Tara: Sequim: Sequim

North Kitsap (5-1, 4-0 in Olympic League 2A) at Bremerton (5-1, 3-1), 7 p.m.: The Knights' lone loss of the season wasn't pretty, falling at home 40-13 to Olympic in Week 3. Now comes an even stiffer test against the defending league champion Vikings, whose starting defense hasn't allowed a point in the past four contests. Jeff: North Kitsap; Tara: Bremerton

Saturday

Graham-Kapowsin (4-2, 4-2 in South Puget Sound League 4A) at South Kitsap (1-5, 1-5), 1 p.m.: The Wolves have struggled keeping opponents off the scoreboard the past three weeks, averaging 40 points allowed in defeats against Olympia, Emerald Ridge and Bellarmine Prep. Jeff: G-K; Tara: G-K

Arizona (3-3) at Washington (4-2), 2:30 p.m.: The Huskies are 4-0 at home and 0-2 on the road. That tells us what we need to know. Jeff: UW; Tara: UW

Washington State (4-2) at Oregon State (4-2), 5 p.m.: The Cougars almost knocked off Oregon three weeks ago. The Beavers aren't as formidable as the Ducks. Jeff: WSU; Tara: WSU

Sunday

Arizona Cardinals (2-3) at Seattle Seahawks (2-3), 1:05 p.m.: So the Seahawks can score a lot of points, and give up a lot of points. With Rashaad Penny out for the season, flip a coin on this one. Jeff: Seattle; Tara: Seattle
