Pregnant mom is furious with family’s ‘annoying texts’ about delivery date: ‘This would drive me insane’

A mom is fed up with her family’s “annoying texts” about her overdue pregnancy.

She posted some of the messages in Reddit’s “Baby Bumps” forum. When she was just one day overdue, she was inundated with messages from her mom and mother-in-law.

Some of the messages from her mother-in-law included, “You are being awful selfish. We want to hold her too!” and “Dec 7 is the next full moon, hope your doctor is not right. The baby can come this weekend! I am free!”

Her own mother asked “how many centimeters” she was and sent her messages about “waiting.” The Reddit poster feels like the messages are not appropriate.

“Believe me when I say that they’re not really joking,” she wrote. “This whole pregnancy my family has been excited for THEMSELVES to be grandparents.”

Redditors shared their support with the pregnant mother.

“I’d let them both know they will be blocked starting now until whenever you are home and ready for visitors,” a person commented.

“This would drive me insane,” someone wrote.

“Omg these entitled people. If it was me I’d mute them all until 2 weeks post birth,” another said.
