Pregnant mother and two young daughters last seen at Travelodge hotel missing for two months

Police have launched an appeal to find a mother and her two young daughters who have been missing for more than two months.

Detectives say they are “increasingly concerned” for Hajar Mohammed (Al-Shammani), 35, who was heavily pregnant when she disappeared along with her daughters Reem, eight, and Marjam, six.

The family were last seen at a Travelodge hotel in Lower Street, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, at about 5.30pm on Tuesday, September 10.

Police have released CCTV footage of the mother and and her daughters in an effort to locate them.

Staffordshire Police said its Missing Person Enquiry Team had made inquiries about the family but not been able to find them.

It said in a statement: “Detectives from Force CID are now investigating and want help to locate the family to ensure they are safe and well.”

Police described Hajar as 5ft 3in tall and said she was heavily pregnant when she was last seen.

She was wearing a beige head scarf and a black floor-length dress, the force said.

Her daughters, Marjam and Reem, were last seen wearing matching clothing, including a pink and light-grey rain coat, a grey T-shirt with unicorn details, light-blue jeans with a unicorn at the top of the left leg and trainers that matched their coats.
