After many predicted Tottenham Hotspur to be the team pushing Liverpool and Manchester City at the summit of the Premier League, Antonio Conte's side have stagnated, exiting the FA Cup and Champions League with a whimper.

Saturday saw a new low, however, for the Italian, as he raged against his "lazy" players and appeared to suggest that the rot had been a problem for 20 years, in what many took to be a swipe at the ownership. It would take a miracle for Tottenham to renew Conte's deal at the end of the season – but fans are now calling for a swift change before the situation escalates even further.

2. David Moyes (West Ham United): 6/1

David Moyes has enjoyed an excellent second spell at West Ham United, guiding the club away from relegation before leading successive charges in the Europa League. But this team is evolving beyond him – and the end looks nigh.

Players like Lucas Paqueta and Gianluca Scammacca were brought in last summer – and as fantastic as they are, they're just not Moyes players. It's no wonder he's struggled as a result and the Hammers have been flirting with the idea of binning the Scot all season long, according to reports. It would be a surprise if he were still in a job by the start of next season, though his current job status is linked to West Ham's in the top tier.

3. Brendan Rodgers (Leicester City): 9/1

Leicester City have had a transition season, with Jamie Vardy playing less, three new members of a back five and uncertainty over the future of Youri Tielemans. There was a moment where it looked like they were destined for a relegation scrap – but Brendan Rodgers (and James Maddison) turned it around.

Rodgers has been teetering on the brink at times this season – but with the entire bottom half of the table still capable of being sucked into the relegation battle, the Foxes' ownership might have to give the club a shot in the arm out of necessity. Patrick Vieira's sacking at Crystal Palace is a lesson to those who assume they're safe – and Leicester are in 17th, one point above the bottom three. It wouldn't be a shock if Rodgers went.

4. Steve Cooper (Nottingham Forest): 16/1

Midway through January, Nottingham Forest beat rivals Leicester City to climb to 13th in the league. It looked like they'd finally motored away from the drop zone… yet the Premier League has a funny habit of dragging you back in.

Forest have had just one win since and their underlying numbers have looked worrying. Now, four points separate 12th from 20th, with just about everyone in the bottom half of the table looking in danger and Steve Cooper's side hanging around 16th right now. Have the Tricky Trees used up all their good luck in games that they were second-best in but managed to scrape results from? And could that be enough to convince the board that a change of manager will change things?

5. Gary O'Neil (Bournemouth): 16/1

Gary O'Neil impressed sufficiently in interim charge of Bournemouth, giving new owner Bill Foehly ample reason to give him the reins full-time. Since then, it's been a slog, with very little to celebrate as permanent Cherries boss.

If Foehly was thinking about pulling the trigger, he's probably left it too late. It seems more likely that O'Neil remains at least until the end of the season, and the fact that he was a member of Scott Parker's coaching staff who was promoted after the sacking makes his own dismissal even unlikelier until a more suitable candidate emerges. The Liverpool win probably bought him a few more weeks – and that might just be enough to see him until the end of the campaign.
