Prep Basketball: Clark-Willow Lake girls notch win over Great Plains Lutheran

Three players scored in double figures to carry Clark-Willow Lake to a 45-36 non-conference girls basketball win over Great Plains Lutheran on Monday night.

Alicia Vig led the trio with 18 points. Maggie Hovde added 11, Kayla Jordan and Musonda Kabwe six for the Cyclones (2-6).

Halle Bauer had eight points, Kim Goens and Bryn Holmen each seven and Mali York six for the Panthers, who fell to 7-3. Olivia Holmen pulled down nine rebounds and Bryn Holmen seven. Goens made three steals.

Leola-Frederick Area 43, Wilmot 40 (OT) — Sofi Losure poured in 23 points to help Leola-Frederick Area (5-4) outlast Wilmot (0-9) in the non-conference game.

Chloe Arneson contributed 12 points and Laura Sumption 10 for the Titans.

Madeline Redmund paced the Wolves with 24 point,s five rebounds, three steals and three assists. Addison Heinje added 10 points and Ashley Ebben six. Paris Red Thunder grabbed six rebounds and Kayla Hamman four.

Canby 52, BOLD 48 — Aidyn Bruns tallied 19 points and 12 rebounds to spark Canby to the Minnesota high school victory.

Maya Wente added 12 points and 11 rebounds, Ryann Hansen 10 points and seven assists and Kortney Leppke eight points for the Lancers (8-6).

Anna Gardeen and Maddy Brummer each scored nine points and Peyton Sander eight for BOLD (9-6).

Estelline-Hendricks 56, Oldham-Ramona-Rutland 38 — The Redhawks improved to 6-7 overall and 2-5 in the Dakota Valley Conference win the win. ORR slipped to 4-8 and 1-5.

Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley, Minn. 50, Tri-State 49 — Tri-State (5-7) had its four-game winning streak snapped by CGB (5-7). No other details were reported.

Boys Basketball

Florence-Henry 56, Webster Area 53 — Mehki Keller drained 10 of 11 free throws and finished with 27 points and six rebounds to lead the Falcons (5-5) to the non-conference win.

James Schroeder contributed 10 points and Ethan Paulson six rebounds.

Jaydon Keller’s 25 points and 14 rebounds sparked Webster Area (1-7). Jacob Pereboom added 12 points and seven rebounds and Tayne Dunse cpollected eight rebounds.

Leola-Frederick Area 63, Wilmot 55 — The Titans (3-5) used 18 points from Ethan Morlock and 12 from Noah Kippley to win the non-conference game. Mason Heinz added nine and Colton Spitzer eight.

Trey Jurgens led all scorers with 33 points for Wilmot (0-6). Ben Kasuske had six and Dennis Creadon, Brayden Ebben and Albert Heminger five apiece.
