Prep football: 50 high school players who had big games last week in the Sacramento area

Last week was another big week for Sacramento-area high school football players, including a quarterback who led his team to its first victory at San Juan, two runners who did the same for Placer, a kicker who attempted his first kick — ever — and won a game for Sheldon, and others.

Cooper Babb, Jesuit: Had two sacks and two quarterback hurries in a 41-10 win over Pleasant Grove.

Aiden Broadnax, San Juan: Rushed for 152 yards and three TDs, including a 91-yarder, to give his team its first victory, 34-14 over Western Sierra.

Joseph Brown, Liberty Ranch: Rushed for 132 yards and had a 61-yard TD in a 14-13 win over Ripon.

Kirk Brown, Johnson: Rushed for 116 yards and a score, had a 56-yard TD catch and made seven tackles in a 20-6 win over Mira Loma.

Josiah Campbell, Christian Brothers: Had 12 tackles, eight of them solo, in a 27-24 win over Sacramento.

Cassidy Cole, Antelope: Had seven catches for 129 yards and two TDs for the Titans’ first victory, 42-7 over Bella Vista.

Daylon Cooper, Sheldon: Made 12 tackles, nine of them solo, in a 16-13 win over Franklin.

Gavin Correia, Rocklin: Had four catches from Reeve Slone for 79 yards and two TDs in a 28-21 win over Tracy.

Nathan Crawford, Twelve Bridges: Rushed 23 times for 218 yards and five touchdowns in a 42-7 win over Bear River.

Kimani Dokes, Wood: Passed for 152 yards and a TD and rushed for 158 yards and two scores in a 40-21 win over Maria Carrillo.

Julian Drahn, Cordova: Had 12 tackles and two sacks in his team’s first victory, a 49-34 win over Highlands.

Alex Dunham, Rocklin: Had 10 tackles against Tracy as the Thunder improved to 5-0.

Jayden Erickson, Placer: Rushed for 164 yards and two scores in a 64-14 win over Rio Linda.

Elijah Gulewich, Folsom: Had 11 tackles in a 14-7 loss to De La Salle.

Keilen Gilbert, Rio Americano: Completed 10 of 13 passes for 188 yards and four TDs against El Camino to move to 6-0.

George Hemmen, Jesuit: Played guard, had two tackles on defense, booted a 40-yard punt, made five PATs and kicked off seven times against Pleasant Grove.

Adam Hiatt, Casa Roble: Had 14 tackles, 12 of them solo, and two sacks in a 35-0 win over Ponderosa.

Noah Hinkle, Woodland Christian: Caught a 75-yard touchdown pass and had 175 all-purpose yards in a 24-15 win over Pioneer.

Isaiah Hunt, Woodland Christian: Completed 14 of 18 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown against Pioneer.

Jaden Jackson, West Park: Completed 19 of 24 passes for 271 yards and three TDs, two to Ryan Sisson, in a 26-20 win over Chico.

King Johnson, San Juan: Rushed for 112 yards on four carries and a TD against Western Sierra.

Kayson Jones, Galt: Rushed 11 times for 130 yards, including an 83-yard score, and had a 56-yard TD catch against Calaveras.

Shaun Jones, Placer: Rushed for 88 yards and four TDs against Rio Linda for his team’s first win.

Daniel Kamara, Christian Brothers: Rushed 10 time for 100 yards and had a touchdown in a 27-24 win over Sacramento.

Derek Keeley, Rocklin: Rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown against Tracy.

Mason Kelly, Folsom: Had 15 tackles against De La Salle.

John Koett, Vista del Lago: Passed for 245 yards and five TDs, two each to Will Anderson and Matt Long, in a 63-0 win over Capital Christian.

Brandon “Lambo” Lambert, Cosumnes Oaks: Rushed for 115 yards, had 70 yards receiving and scored four times in a 54-39 win over Davis.

CJ Lee, Jesuit: Passed for 108 yards and a score and rushed eight times for 136 yards and three TDs against Pleasant Grove.

Walter Lewis, Highlands: Passed for 224 yards and three touchdowns against Cordova.

Ryder Lyons, Folsom: Passed for 170 yards and a TD and ran for 64 yards against De La Salle.

Jonathan Martin, West Park: Made six tackles and had the game-ending sack on fourth down against Chico.

Nicholas Navarre, Vista del Lago: Had 10 tackles, two for loss, in a win over Capital Christian to move to 5-1.

Andrew Redfield, Lindhurst: Rushed for 74 yards and two TDS and had five tackles in a 34-33 win over Mesa Verde.

Henri Reed, Lindhurst: Rushed 13 times for 133 yards and had six tackles against Mesa Verde.

Jayden Ryce, Cordova: Passed for three touchdowns, two to Damajae Moses, and rushed for 109 yards to lead the Lancers to their first victory, 49-34 over Highlands.

Antonio Saucedo, Rio Americano: Had three catches, two of them for touchdowns, against El Camino.

Savi Sandhu, Sheldon: Kicked the winning field goal to beat Franklin 16-13, his first-ever attempt in a game.

Mason Susnara, Roseville: Passed for 179 yards and three TDs with no interceptions in a 36-22 win over Yuba City.

Baron Taylor, Inderkum: Made 13 solo tackles against Woodcreek to help the Tigers move to 5-1.

Jayden Tinker, Union Mine: Rushed 27 times for 172 yards and four touchdowns in a 34-14 win over Dixon to move to 4-1.

David Whitten, Antelope: Passed for 220 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-7 win over Bella Vista.
