Prep girls hockey: Spartans look to leaders as young players gain experience

Returning players: Kaylie Nault, Bella Thompson, Indigo Fish, Kenlyn Thimm, Grace Hansen, Brooke Lindberg, Katie Stamper, Kennedy Poppelwell, Gabryel Olson, Autumn Cooper, Emma Ferg and Alivia Visger.
New faces to watch: Ireland Brennan, Teagan Eisenach, Marcy Price, Michaela Geissler, Makaela Reinke, Hailey Olby, Olivia Prendergast, Alexia Kimmes, Liz Powell, Addie Benson, Maddie Bachand and Storm Heffilfinger.
What are the team's strengths?
"Areas of strength is our leadership by our captains and upperclassman; team camaraderie and everybody believing in our family focus community," said coach Doug Trentor.
What will be the team's biggest challenge this season?
"The biggest challenge is our young team, which will mature as the season moves forward," Trentor said.
"These young ladies have a strong connection with one another. They understand this is a family and pick each other up," Trentor said. "Our team is skilled, motivated and deep. They work hard from themselves and for one another."
