Prep Golf: Tough course, conditions lead to struggle for Watertown girls in Huron Invite

.

HURON — A tough course and tough conditions didn’t make it easy for Watertown High School’s girls golf team on Thursday in the Huron Invite at the Broadland Creek Golf Course.

The Arrows shot 376 and finished eight out of nine teams. Aberdeen Central won the meet with a score of 337.

“We’re disappointed with our scores today, but it was a tough course and tough conditions,” said Watertown head coach Zach Wevik. “It rained a majority of the round and that made things difficult.”

Riley Zebroski tied for eighth with an 83 to lead Watertown.
