Prep Roundup: CDHS ladies advance; D-B sweeps visiting Greeneville

(WJHL) – High school basketball playoffs tipped-off in both Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia on Monday night.

In one last regular-season contest, the Lady Huskies of North Greene rallied back for a win at Unaka, 50-27.

The District 1-2A quarterfinals began from Gray with Happy Valley earning a comeback victory over West Greene, 42-37. The night closed with a Chuckey-Doak win, as they topped Johnson County, 48-35.

From the TAC, Dobyns-Bennett’s Hannah Frye hit 1,000 career points, as the Lady Tribe got the best of Greeneville the the regular-season finale, 66-61.

D-B also picked up a win in the boys game, as the Tribe outlasted the Greene Devils, 46-38.
