Lucas had dominated the Mid-Buckeye Conference over the past three seasons, winning the league title outright each year and losing just one conference game since the 2018-19 season began heading into Thursday.

Central Christian took a big step toward making sure Lucas doesn't sit alone at the top of MBC again, upsetting the Cubs in a physical matchup and tying the Cubs atop the league standings.
